What is Contemplative Psychotherapy?
Originated from Universities like Naropa and Nalanda, Contemplative Psychotherapy integrates insights of Western Psychology with mindfulness and compassion practices of the Buddhist tradition.
In my use of this modality, I use an individualistic integration of parts work (similar to IFS) with Eastern awareness practice and philosophy, helping clients to change maladaptive behavioral and thought patterns by helping them to live with greater ease by using their body’s wisdom to disidentify from protective, yet limiting labels, identities and to connect to their Sacred Self!
